During the holidays, many seniors in our community are forgotten. The Santa for a Senior program helps bring joy and comfort to nursing home residents, low-income seniors, and homebound individuals with disabilities by providing thoughtful gifts and care packages each holiday season.

Most of the seniors we visit haven’t had family or friends come by in over two or three years. Seeing their faces light up reminds us why we continue this tradition every year. Santa for a Senior has proudly served the DFW area since 2017, spreading kindness one gift at a time.
How are Senior Angels selected? The Activities Directors at various facilities compile a list of residents who do not have family or friends visiting them throughout the year. These Directors assess the needs of these residents and also inquire about specific items the Seniors might want. Majority of the facilities we visit are state-run, and the residents are Medicaid recipients.
How much money should I spend on my Senior Angel gifts? The amount of money you spend is completely at your discretion. While most people tend to spend between $30 - $50, you are free to spend as much or as little as you feel comfortable with.
Do I have to purchase everything listed for my Senior Angel? You are not obligated to purchase every item listed. However, please keep in mind that your Senior will only receive what you choose to give them. For your convenience, the Wishlist includes their shoe size in case you'd like to buy them slippers or socks, as well as their dietary restrictions. Many people like to add snacks to their gift: regular (candy, chips, cookies, crackers, etc.), mechanical (Little Debbie oatmeal pies, pudding, Jello, etc.), soft/puree (pudding, Jello, apple sauce, etc.).
After you purchase your gift, please do the following:
Wrap the gift or put it in a gift bag. Label it with your Senior’s name.
Drop it off on Sunday, December 7th, at the Drury Plaza Hotel.
